When to refer
Look for these symptoms in manufacturers that sell through direct or indirect channels. They show up when product complexity has outgrown spreadsheets and manual coordination.

Quoting still depends on spreadsheets
Prices, options and product rules are scattered across people and files. A valid quote depends on who is available, not on a shared model of the product.
Engineering still validates quotes
Non-standard enquiries create a bottleneck before the customer gets an answer. Sales cannot confirm a configuration without pulling engineering into the loop.
ERP, CRM or PIM data is re-entered
The data already exists in the systems the customer runs. What is missing is the logic that turns that data into a valid quote. People copy product, customer and attribute data from one system to another.
Dealer channels cannot self-serve
Dealers still rely on head office for selection, pricing and quotes. The channel cannot configure a valid product on its own.
Too many errors and too much internal coordination
Sales, engineering and manufacturing spend their time fixing quotes. The cost shows up as rework, delayed answers and inconsistent documents.
These are configuration problems, not generic CRM gaps. Mercura is built for manufacturers with that kind of product complexity.
